Kings day 2023

A one-day festival in Amsterdam to celebrate the birthday of King William Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, during which all locals and guests are decked out in orange from head to toe. Around 600,000 people attend King's Day events every year! The festival events start in the evening and continue throughout the day. The city's canals are full of decked-out party boats, and the world's largest trade fair takes place across the city, with amazing things to buy. Everyone can participate in this fair - the smallest children or seniors who sell their old things. Concerts, dances, performances take place in the city spaces.

Important information: no public transport or taxis run in the city center during the festival.
